Mamograms

Boston (eCanadaNow) - A new study has shown that computer-aided detection or CAD software which is set up to read mammograms makes a lot of errors and sometimes diagnoses the patients wrongly.Mammography which is used with this computer-aided detection gives far more false positive diagnoses of breast cancer. This is when it is directly compared to mammograms which are done normally with a doctor reading the scans.

The new findings were published in the New England Journal of Medicine and was funded by the NCI. Women who received mammogram screenings which used the computer-aided detection were more likely to be told that they had breast cancer or something abnormal in their breast. They were also far more likely to be subjected to more tests for breast cancer and a biopsy.

Girls, like Apples...

---------------Girls--------------
-----------are like apples------
-------on trees. The best ones-----
-----are at the top of the tree.-----
---The boys don't want to reach---
--for the good ones because they--
-are afraid of falling & getting hurt.-
-Instead, they get the rotten apples-
from the ground that aren't as good,
but easy. So the apples on top think
something's wrong with them when in
-reality they're amazing. They just--
---have to wait for the right boy to
---- come along, the one who's-
----------- brave enough to-----
---------------climb all---------
---------------the way--------
--------------to the top--------
-------------of the tree.---------
